Located in Castle Rock, the Merc sign was created to identify the new neighborhood and park that is being developed called Mercantile Park. Our client, Castle Rock Development Group, wanted a unique original sign to make the new area come to life. We went through multiple design revisions to get to what you see today.
We created five individual custom cabinets painted dark teal, fixed to a custom 2-in. raceway and mounted to an existing concrete base. Each of five layers of ¼-in. aluminum, custom-painted flat cut-outs (FCO’s) was individually painted a different color. Stencil painted grass adds a natural note.
